Examples of unfair advertising

  1. Giving goods deceptive names/False labelling.
  2. Selling second hand goods as new goods.
  3. Exaggerating the merits of the product.
  4. Using fine print to conceal important information. 
  5. Criticising competitor's goods.
  6. Exploitations of children's lack of understanding.
  7. Misuse of people with disabilities in advertisements.
  8. Advertising that encourages violence.
  9. Advertising goods at a very low price to attract customers but when the customer reaches the store the item is no longer there/Bait and switch.
  10. Advertising a product showing additional items, but do not clearly state that these items are excluded.
